Expectations

The Explore Possibilities Meeting is where your financial picture starts to come alive. With your documents and accounts already organized, we’ll use our planning software to review your current situation together. This meeting is designed to uncover opportunities, highlight challenges, and explore what’s possible as we begin shaping your financial plan.

What to Do to Prepare

1. Review the Work from the Get Organized Meeting

  • Confirm your accounts are linked in RightCapital.

  • Upload any missing documents into the Vault.

  • Make note of anything that feels incomplete or needs clarification.

2. Reflect on Your Financial Goals

  • Think about short-term priorities (1–3 years).

  • Consider long-term aspirations (retirement, legacy, education, lifestyle).

  • Rank what matters most to you right now.

3. Identify Areas of Concern

  • Are you worried about taxes, retirement readiness, investments, or debt?

  • Do you feel gaps in insurance or estate planning?

  • Are there big decisions on the horizon that keep you up at night?

4. Bring Your Questions

  • What strategies or possibilities do you want to explore first?

  • What areas of your financial life feel unclear?

  • What assumptions or “rules of thumb” have you heard that you’d like validated or challenged?

5. Get in the Right Frame of Mind

  • This is a collaborative meeting — expect to see your financial picture modeled in real time.

  • No decisions are required yet — this is about exploring options, not committing today.

  • Be open to possibilities that you may not have considered before.

6. Technical Preparation (if virtual)

  • Test your camera and microphone before the meeting.

  • Ensure a stable internet connection.

  • Have a quiet space where you can focus and interact with the financial planning software.

7. Complete Any Follow-Up Forms

  • If requested, complete any brief onboarding or update forms sent between meetings.

  • These ensure we have the most accurate information before running planning scenarios.

What Happens in the Meeting

  • Review your current financial picture in RightCapital together.

  • Discuss your goals, priorities, and concerns.

  • Explore different planning possibilities — retirement timelines, savings strategies, tax planning opportunities, and more.

  • Identify key decision areas to be refined in your personalized financial plan.

  • Leave with clarity on your options and confidence in the next steps.

Looking Ahead

After this meeting, we’ll use what we learned together to begin drafting your customized financial plan. In our next session, Plan Presentation & Implementation, you’ll see specific strategies designed to align with your goals — and we’ll map out how to put them into action.
